We’re so pleased to hear that the French government has made the decision to allow vaccinated British people to go ahead with their French holiday from Friday 14th January. We can’t wait to show you everything that Chateau La Briance has to offer.
You will need to bear in mind that the Covid situation in France is different to that in the UK. Guests travelling to France must be fully vaccinated, and be able to present a negative PCR test taken no longer than 24 hours before travel.
You will also need to complete a form to declare that you have not experienced any Covid-19 symptoms or been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19 before travel.
If you are travelling with children aged 12 and under, they will not need to provide proof of full vaccination or present a negative test upon travel.
However, like adults, children over the age of 12 and 2 months will need their own Pass Sanitaire to enter indoor venues like museums, bars and restaurants once they get to France. You can access your Pass Sanitaire on the TousAntiCovid app.
You will need to scan the QR code showing that you’re fully vaccinated from your NHS app into the TousAntiCovid app.
If the children over 12 you are travelling with aren’t fully vaccinated, they’ll need to do the same with the QR code from a proof of a negative PCR or negative lateral flow (antigen test) no more than 24 hours old at the time of visit.
Masks in indoor areas and enclosed or busy outdoor public spaces are mandatory for people aged 11 and over. Make sure you head to the government website to research all the rules before you arrive in France.
Despite the rules, we want to ensure our guests have the best holiday at Chateau La Briance. We can’t wait to welcome you soon!
