Welcome to Chateau la Briance, an enchanting 18th century chateau in the Limousin region of southwest France available for private holiday bookings. The Chateau is also available for private hire such as Weddings, Anniversaries and special events.
Dating all the way back to 1740, Chateau la Briance is found nestled on the outskirts of the French countryside village of St Hilaire Bonneval and is just a short drive away from the lively city of Limoges and its international airport. Spread across 800 square metres, four floors, seven available ensuite bedrooms, a range of living spaces and seven acres of gloriously green grounds, the chateau has been lovingly restored to reflect its traditional French charm.
This luxury boutique accommodation is bursting with beautiful authentic features, including exposed original stonework, stained glass windows and intricate murals, which combine to create the chateau’s unique historical atmosphere.

There are two more lounges on this floor as well as the armoury with its incredible six-metre-tall fireplace (which has to be seen to be believed!). The armoury is also our bar where you can enjoy the perfect relaxing evening in the chateau with a glass or two of local wine or a delicious cocktail.
The first and second floors are our gorgeous guest rooms; the first is host to the Joan of Arc, Richard the Lionheart, Napoleon and Marie Antoinette suites while the second floor boasts our sumptuous bridal suite, the Louis XIV suite, as well as the Renoir and Monet suites.

A relaxing Holiday facilitated by the wonderful Ben and Hope. Nothing was to much trouble & our children would have to keep them!
Ben and Hope delivered excellent food and service effortless. The levels of hospitality are as good as any encountered in 15 years of chalet holidays in Europe. I would employ both of them tomorrow.
Ben and Hope are awesome Hosts. The dinners were wonderful and Ben did an excellent job of handling our difficult dietary requirements- allergies, vegetarians and meat eaters! Hopes cakes were delicious and a great way to end the day. We even had fantastic weather, making this the best ski vacation. Thank-you!
Recently, the team at Chateau la Briance were delighted to welcome the Chateau DIY television crew on to the grounds, as they filmed for their Channel 4 show. Our magnificent 18th century home was the centrepiece for this particular episode, where the show delves into the incredible history of the spectacular French chateaus that are sprinkled across the countryside.
We’re so pleased to hear that the French government has made the decision to allow vaccinated British people to go ahead with their French holiday from Friday 14th January. We can’t wait to show you everything that Chateau La Briance has to offer.
The team at Chateau La Briance are truly disappointed in the French government’s latest decision to block UK tourists from visiting France. We were very much looking forward to welcoming our winter guests and those who’d chosen to spend Christmas and New Year with us.
