It's been a busy fortnight at the Chateau. The sun has been out making some of our tasks hard work, but it's nice to complete things that seem to have be dragging.
The Fountain is up and running and looks great. We've emptied the beautiful Orangery ready for work to commence next Monday.
You will see from one of the attached photos that it's a major task, but when finished it will be a glorious function room, sitting up to 80 people.
We are proud to announce that we have taken our first Wedding booking, and hot on its heels are in discussions with two other couples looking to celebrate at Chateau La Briance. We are planning to hold a maximum of 8 Weddings a year, so let us know if you would like to join us here in France for your big day.
Many Wedding venues offer you the premises for just an afternoon or evening, but we would like you to relax and enjoy being with your loved ones for a longer period, so offer a 3 night stay included in the package cost. This gives you a chance to have a Garden Party the night before the Wedding and perhaps a Pool party the day after?
We are very flexible, and want to make the event memorable for everyone.
By the way- did I mention that I intend to become a Celebrant, so if required I could actually read your blessing! This of course is not a legally binding service, but is very popular for those wishing a more private service within your own country but having the Celebration in a larger venue.
We caught up with our friends Andrew and Jane Merchant recently. Andrew is actually the agent who sold us the Chateau here in St Hilaire Bonneval, and is amazingly from Poole like myself. Andrew has a license to fly drones, and took some amazing shots that we are putting on the website. I've attached one here showing the back of La Briance from distance.
Lastly, the 3rd Floor is now ready to become a cinema/ games room. This will be up and running within the month, so those of you visiting in July onwards will have even more fun. Next project will be a 50 and 60 yard pitch and putt for you Golfers.
Our Louis XIV Suite will be finished this week, so more photos coming.
